This unique concept gives you the opportunity to experience living outdoors without having to sacrifice the comforts you would expect on holiday.

Although totally open on 3 sides, the house is enclosed by hectares of private (fenced) land with old trees providing privacy. Instead of dangerous wildlife you will enjoy watching our cows grazing and a plethora of tropical birds who have discovered the tranquility of our property and its surrounding nature.

During the day, our cheerful English-speaking staff are available for any requirements. At night, our traditional Maasai patrols the grounds to ensure your safety.

Living in Harmony with Nature

We are proud to be off-grid! Solar power runs our pumps, fridge, lights and of course your electric devices. The sun warms our water for the showers by a notch making it feel refreshing but not cold.

Our toilets voted "e; the most luxurious composting toilets I have seen "e;. Instead of producing problematic waste, our toilets produce fertilizer for our reforestation efforts and there is nothing you need to do, in fact you need to do less than usual because you don't need to flush.

Our plunge-pool has a biological filter without any chemicals.

A typical day on our farm from dawn to dusk

At the break of dawn, cheerful Kabindo comes to tend the cows and take them to new fields for the day.

At around 7.30am, our housekeeper Zosi arrives to prepare fresh tropical breakfast consisting of coffee/tea, fresh bread, eggs and fruits served in the comfort of your home.

Zosi will then start cleaning the accommodation and provide a basic laundry service.

Dinner is usually served with the onset of dusk. Zosi is a talented cook for alluring Swahili dishes, which are predominately vegetarian. You can also fire-up the BBQ and let Zosi do the side-dishes.

For seafood we recommend hiring a professional chef at a small supplementary charge. He will communicate your preferences with the local fishermen and prepare the catch of the day according to your wishes.

In the late afternoon the cows return from the fields and our manager will drop in to see if you need anything before he leaves.

Just before dusk, Kulpasio, our trusted Masai arrives. He patrols the grounds until the break of dawn.
